Aldeck 50/980, is a 50 mm high, structurally efficient trapezoidal profile providing an excellent composite union between steel and concrete to maximize the structural efficiency. The efficient shape of the deck and resulting composite slab make an excellent option for composite team design.
Embossments
Raised diagonal embossments in opposite directions on each face of the webs of the decking provide improved mechanical connection between the steel and the hardened concrete.
Quicker Installation
Aldeck 50/980 has a net 980 mm covering width requiring fewer panels and sidelaps. No temporary supports are required under most conditions. A wide range of accessories allow easy installation of ceilings and services.
Concrete Volume Savings
Due to its unique profile Aldeck 50/980 requires less concrete than other decks to achieve any given slab thickness. Aldeck 50/980 can save from 15% up to 30% concrete volume when compared with alternative trapezoidal profiles. See graph below.
Technical Support
The technical department of Almetsan has been determining technical and hardware support in order to redirect the correct design and mounting of Aldeck 50/980.
Material Specification
Aldeck 50/980 is being produced according to EN 10143 by using roll-form technology. Thus maximum length is 16 m. Steel strip for Aldeck 70/915 complies with EN 10147 with a guarenteed minimum yield strength of 250N/mm2 up to 350N/mm2 and is zinc coated. Aldeck has a gauge range from 0,70 mm to 1,20 mm for economic solutions.
Advantages
- Permanent shuttering.
- Can be used with lightweight or dense concrete.
- Up to four hours fire resistance.
- Composite beam design reduces steelwork frame weight.
- Stiffens supporting frame if steelwork used.
- Provides a safe working platform.
- Easily cut and fitted to details on site.
- Minimal site storage requirements.
- Provides the tensile reinforcement.
- Needs no (or minimal) propping.
- Speeds up construction programme.
