Coil-Coating; The process in which the surface of the metal appropriate for coating is cleaned and coated with liquid organic paint and coiled back in a continuous line.
Method; The steel is hot-dipped galvanized and the top surface of steel is coated with 5 µm of primary epoxy paint. The other surface is coated with 8 µm of epoxy prime coat. Then another 20-25 µm polyester paint is applied at the top surface after the primary 5 µm. Strippable plastic film as additional protection can be supplied at both sides.
Coating Systems; The types of coating on the galvanized steels Almetsan uses differs depending on the usage areas of the products and the options are as in the following.
Polyester; Is the name of the coating with 20 µm thickness. It is economical, long-lasting and supplies optimum life-span (30 years) at standard conditions and is very frequently used.
Plastisol; The surface of the galvanized steel is coated with 200 µm thick plastisol paint. This coating is used to get high performance for longer times; it prolongs the life of the paint and the resistance of the galvanized steel in acidic conditions.
PVDF; Is the coating of 27 µm of Polyvinylidene Fluoride at the surface of the steel. It provides perfect color stability even at high temperatures (120°C)
